  1. This is the explanation of the CHCP command. 
  2. It is INTERNAL.

  4. It either shows or changes the current code 
  5. page, that MS-DOS uses to control the way 
  6. your computer functions.

  8. Examples:
  9.         To see the current code page you 
  10.         would type:
  11.            chcp
  12.  
  13.         To change the current code page to 
  14.         860 (Portugese)
